About the Firm

Diana Bier Interiors, LLC is a full-service design
firm specializing in fine residential interiors. Diana has been designing for over 20 years. After restoring and
renovating her home in Rockville Centre, New York, and designing and building a vacation home in the Hamptons, she studied
interior design at New York Institute of Technology. After completing the course of study in the Interior Design Program,
she became an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers. In addition to her design education, she
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French Art and Literature from Queens College of CUNY, a Masters Degree in
Business Administration from New York University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Our firm is also a member of
the New York Design Guild, a consortium of design firms on Long Island and Manhattan.
Projects range from a simple
refreshing of an existing room to those consisting of major construction. Suburban family homes, beachfront condominiums,
urban apartments, and Hamptons vacation homes are some of our projects. We are quite comfortable dealing with architects
as well as general contractors and tradesmen.
Our Design Philosophy and Process

Our mission is to create beautiful, functional
interiors that reflect the client’s wishes and desires, all within the parameters of good design principles. Well-versed
in all design styles, we strive to help our clients discover their own distinctive personalities. Since our philosophy
is that a well-planned room will provide many years of enjoyment, much time is spent on working with clients to develop a
comprehensive design plan. Quite simply, the most important service we provide is listening. During the initial
consultation, a questionnaire is completed, where the client’s objectives for the project are documented. From
there we move on to planning the room, beginning with the architecture. Solid construction, correct proportions,
and intelligent space planning are the foundations of a beautiful room. Once this foundation is set, we continue with
the selection of exquisite furniture, colors, fabrics, and wall, window and floor coverings. Well-chosen art and accessories
then provide the finishing touches.
Fee Structure
Because no two projects are ever
alike, we tailor each agreement to the individual client. We begin with an initial consultation at the client’s
residence. If the firm is retained for the project, the initial consultation is offered at no charge. Should the
client choose not to go forward with the project, a nominal fee is charged for the consultation. Once the firm is retained,
we draw up a Letter of Agreement which outlines the scope of the project, and the compensation structure. Depending
on the work involved, the compensation is either hourly or cost plus commission.
